Hi, I'm Erica.

I am a researcher and strategist, helping companies and brands create better experiences for their customers and users.

My Process

I determine how products should work based on business requirements and user needs. As part of this process, I ensure I understand what the goals of the business are, and align projects with these broader goals.

I conduct user research to discover user needs and identify deficiencies in products and overall experiences.

Methods of choice:

  • Interviews
  • Contextual inquiry
  • Usability Studies
  • Surveys
  • Card Sorting
  • Web Analytics

I design any deliverables needed, depending on the needs of the business and the project. These deliverables could be personas, journey maps, or prototypes. For web products, I work closely with design and development to ensure successful product creation.

  • Axure
  • Balsamiq
  • Adobe Suite (Illustrator, XD)
  • InVision

I was born and raised in sunny southern California, which is also where I attended college at UCLA. I graduated with a B.S. in Physiological Sciences, which is typically a pre-med major. Long story short, I decided being a doctor is awesome, but not for me, and that it was time to pursue what I really wanted to do. I am proudly trained by General Assembly, where I attended the UX Design Immersive Course. Now I specialize in UX research and strategy, with experiences in marketing, non-profit, and agency work.
